Mystery Solved!

Since we moved into our apartment together, there's been various characters that we seen in and around the building. The majority of the "unsavoury" types have, in fact, been drug dealers, or just really unruly neighbours...or their unruly kids / friends / family. However, there was one couple who were always off to go on holidays or vacation, PLUS they always wore sunglasses. IN THE BUILDING!

They were always nice enough - the guy would always open doors for me (very chivalrous) and they smiled and made small talk in the elevator. But it always remained - who wears sunglasses in the elevator?!?

We found out last week that they (the guy at least!) was none other than a celebrity personal trainer who has his own reality tv show. *ahhhh*. Now it makes sense!

And *that's* why I couldn't place him! lol....and all this time me and TM were making up stories about how we thought they were drug dealers, or porno stars (because they were in *incredible* shape!), or happy hookers. lol!!!

Anyways, mystery solved. I *told* TM that we should have been Thelma and Shaggie for Halloween!

Core Rhythms

The workouts are cheesey but fun. Before you know it, 30-40 minutes have passed and you've burnt 300-400 calories....

I did the samba / merengue workout, which is in a last-ditch attempt before me and TM go for an intro samba / swing session on Saturday!

 • ~38 minutes

Davina Super Body Workout, Super Sculpt Session

I am liking this dvd. Although the moves are easy enough to follow along, you still break out a sweat and burn some calories. This workout in particular (there are two, super fit and super sculpt) focuses more on muscle toning and interval training. There is a great abdominal section and a couple good stretches in here too.

 • ~40 minutes
 • 235 cals, 45% fat
 • Max HR 187, Avg HR 127

Davina Super Body Workout, Carribean Stretching Workout

Did "Davina's Super Body Workout" yesterday. Who is Davina, you ask? I don't know, but the concept of her dvd is well thought out. There are two 40 minute workouts (one cardio, one more focused on weight-cardio), plus three (might be four) add ons that focus on arms, legs, abs or... (maybe it was three...). I'd buy the DVD. She IS a little annoying though. In a cutesy way.

 • ~50 minutes
 • 400 cals, 40% fat
 • Max HR 215, Avg HR 136
Subsequently, I did a smaller session today - mainly dynamic stretching, with a little muscle toning.

 • 114 cals
 • 60% fat
 • Max HR 132, Avg HR 90
